Meet Our Founder
Tangerine K. Hope is the Founder of A New Haven of Hope located in DeSoto, TX. Her vision is to empower individuals with the tools they need to manage their emotions, change their thinking, and develop healthy behavior patterns that will cause them to take accountability for their actions while becoming the best version of themselves.
Tangerine K. Hope is married to Mr. Gregory L. Hope and has three beautiful adult children with 2 serving as spiritual leaders within the community. Tangerine K. Hope has been working with domestic violent victims and offenders for 10 years, and a small business owner for over 20 years in the medical staffing industry, and with the department of children and families owning a total of three childcare facilities in the State of Florida. She believes strongly in community action.
Tangerine K. Hope has earned a Master's Degree in Pastoral Counseling and a Doctorate in Religious Education from the International Seminary of Orlando Florida. She has also earned a Bachelors of Psychology from Capella University and is a part of the National Society of Leadership and Success. Tangerine is also a Fellow member of the NAMA, and has a certificate in Trauma and Trauma-Informed Care: an introductory training provided by DFP.
A New Haven of Hope has received probationary accreditation through the Texas Department of Criminal Justice-Community Assistance Division (TDCJ-JAD) to provide Battering Intervention and Prevention services in the State of Texas.
